Security Management Consultant (Experienced)

We are currently offering an exciting role for an experienced Security Management Consultant. This client-facing role offers significant potential for personal and professional growth within our small but growing company.

All Mozayix consultants must demonstrate a combination of technical security expertise, industry knowledge, country experience and consulting skills. As client-facing Security Management Consultant you will be expected to already possess a professional passion for international security and as well as the ability to work within a team and under the direction of one or more Senior Security Management Consultants.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Security Management Consultant:
Conducts and drafts detailed reports including threat, vulnerability and risk assessments to support client operations and projects
Assists with development, implementation and maintenance of client security policies and procedures
Develops travel security plans and delivers pre-deployment and arrival briefs
Fosters and maintains extensive network of local contacts who help shape the intelligence picture and the local security context in areas where our clients operate
Assists with supporting clients' new-business/sales team by developing security solutions that support revenue growth in challenging markets
Supports client procurement department in contracting local security providers by identifying, analyzing and qualifying local security suppliers and subcontractors
Conducts security performance audits and reviews of local security providers in the countries where our clients operate
Develops and delivers security and safety training to client staff
Collaborates with clients in a consultative and proactive approach to facilitate their business objectives in markets with dynamic and complex security challenges
Is willing and able to travel to remote and austere project sites in medium or high-risk countries for up to 4 weeks at a time

Preferred Experience and Work History:

We are interested in candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Candidates whose resumes highlight the following parameters will receive the greatest level of review by our hiring team.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of Security Management
Previous experience supporting U.S. companies with overseas operations, offices or projects
Experience supporting projects funded by USAID, DFID, AusAID, ADB, EBRD, or other similar organizations
Military or law enforcement background highly valued
Willingness to learn new methods and conform to internal processes and procedures
Ability to draft, proof and submit documents that are free of errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation
Capable of working both in teams as well as independently
Experienced working on projects with time constraints and deadlines
Experience working or living overseas particularly in any of the following countries: Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Yemen, Mali, Somalia, Kenya, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo or Ukraine
Willingness to travel internationally for up to 4 weeks at a time
Fluency in a second language particularly Arabic, Russian or French

Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
Relevant professional certifications are highly valued
Must be a U.S. Citizen or already possess permission to work in the United States

References and Writing Samples:

Applicants must have strong references from previous employers or clients. Samples of previous written work products will be requested as part of the selection process. Applicants may be required to submit a timed writing assignment during the interview phase.

Compensation: Mozayix offers competitive salaries based on qualifications, experience, work and salary history.

Relocation: No relocation assistance is offered. Selected candidate will be required to live within 50 miles of the Mozayix office in Arlington, Virginia.

Note: Periodic travel to medium or high threat international locations for up to 4 weeks at a time is required.
