Conflict Security and Stability Fund (CSSF) Project Manager , Guyana

Reporting directly to, and working with, the High Commissioner the job holder will be the first point of contact for all issues relating to the day-to-day administration of Post’s CSSF allocation.


Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversight of expenditure and monitoring of activities to ensure they take place as forecast;
The provision of information to the High Commissioner, other BHC staff as necessary, and London, as required, on spend to date and plans for future spending;
Being the first point of contact for project implementers;
Ensuring accurate forecasts of spending and other financial activities are undertaken as required on PRISM, liaising with the Corporate Services Manager and other colleagues as necessary;
Oversight of the proper production of end of year reports from the CSSF projects which will have taken place in FY16-17;
Advice and guidance to the High Commissioner on all aspects of CSSF activity.



Under US State Department requirements, the Embassy may only employ, as non-diplomatic staff, persons who are US citizens, US Green Card holders or A or NATO visa holders with EAD cards*. Essential qualifications and experience



Great organization skills


Ability meet short deadlines efficiently and effectively.


Good project and financial management skills.


Excellent written and oral communication skills, including fluency in English.


Strong IT skills, including recent use of the full range of MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.


Confident self-starter, able to form effective relationships quickly both within and outside the team.


A positive and flexible team player, they will be willing to contribute to the team’s overall objectives.


Able to deal with a range of competing priorities in a calm, efficient and professional manner, with a keen eye for detail.


Have basic secretarial skills, be confident in dealing with a range of contacts at all levels.
Organised and efficient in work and time management.






Desirable qualifications and experience

PRISM experience, including Hyperion forecasting.
Social media experience.
