The role
To assist the Risk Management Director to reduce the risks posed to the programme personnel and assets of all national and international Save the Children staff and their dependants in Lebanon through the provision of specialized, coordinated and focused security management support , through maintaining and further developing existing safety and security management systems and procedures, and developing further overall organizational capacity in staff training and crisis management; to support Country Offices' security management improvements consistent with Save the Children standards for safety and security; and conduct security assessments; provide training and orientation for staff, analyse incident reports and security updates, provide direct safety and security management support in emergency response staff and respond to related inquiries.

This role will include on-going threat assessment and advising on security risk management; the maintenance of appropriate guidelines; and ensuring that field working practices are robust and that all staff are aware of, trained on, and adhere to these policies and procedures. Required Qualifications and Personal Skills:

Reporting to the Associate Director for International Safety and Security (ADISS), the Program Manager, International Safety and Security (PMISS) is responsible for operational management of global safety and security programs.  The PMISS should continuously maintain dynamic, highly specialized global security expertise through intelligence analysis and travel, and apply expertise and itinerary specific research to conduct risk assessments and traveler briefings, with particular attention to security needs in war zones, epidemics, and areas of pervasive militancy.
